Color Inspiration Thursday: Burnt Caramel

It’s August, and we’re still at the high point of summer, but at this time I’m starting to feel the changing of the season, the first hints of Autumn in the air. The sun is still high, but its slanting evening rays are more evocative of Fall’s soft light than Summer’s intensity.

“Burnt Caramel,” shown above on STF Verdande sings of Autumn to me. Of crackling leaves, pumpkin bread, caramel apples. It’s the warm color of caramel sauce and warm toffee, with golden undertones. It evokes all the nuances of my favorite season of the year.

Stay tuned for a new sweater design coming out this Fall from one of my favorite designers, in Verdande in Burnt Caramel! I can’t wait to see what she creates!
